Just some background...in 2010, I applied for CP for my mother in Pakistan. The I-130 was approved quickly and the case moved to NVC, I sent in my affidavit of support, paid the fees for everything etc. Then my mother bagan stalling with her documentation, etc. Basically, she changed her mind...
Well, my mother will be selling her house in Pakistan and I 've suggested that she save that money for her future here. Not to mention, I've started up a "mamma fund" for her here, so in case she needs something short-term, we won't be stuck trying to find resources, even if it's just $20 a...
I don't think it will be an issue if they are divorced. The only time you would run into an issue is if you were legally adopted by another man, at that point your father would not be eligible to immigrate as a parent of US Citizen.
I need to get an employment letter for I-864EZ, but my company uses theworknumber.com for that. The website is instructing me to provide the verifier with the website, my SS#, and a salary key, so they may acesss and verify my information. Also, verifiers have to pay $60 to get info. for one...
No, unmarried women can have children too, you know. You can't prove marriage through a doctor's note or a sonogram. You can prove paternity after the baby is born, but then too you don't need to be married.

Because I changed my last name after I got married, I needed to send a copy of my marriage certificate to prove I am the same person. If my mother's name was different from the birth certifcate, then I would have had to send a copy of her marriage certificate as well. But she's a widow and...
