I am concerned now with the zero tolerance position by INS and how this will affect me. I have had several jobs and have bounced between H1B\'s and TN visas. I have been in status all the time. I\'ve gone from TN -> H1B - > TN -> TN -> H1B. My wife and children had the supporting TD visa intially then the H1 (or whatever the supporting H visa is to the H1B), however when I went back to the TN visa\'s (diff jobs) they didn\'t have the TD\'s for some 13 months. So they would be classifed as being out of status during that time. Then when I went back to the H1B their H1 was in sync with my H visa and they are now back in status.
My question, if anyone knows is how this will affect me and my family. At the time, the lawyer said we might have to pay some sort of fee $1000.00 but probably unlikely. My I485 application shouldn\'t be affected because I\'ve been in status the whole time, however they haven\'t and am unsure what will happen - any thoughts anyone?
