I changed my address and my RD- 9/18. Still waiting for approval.
I did fill out and mail the AR-11 form.

1. Will the INS get my updated address?
2. IS it neccessary to update the INS. Won't the post office forward the mails automatically?
3. If you call IIO and get the address changed, how sure you can be that it is changed?
4. WHEN WILL I GET MY APPROVAL :( ?
I did read here that post office wont forward INS mails. Is there a reason why
 
I saw your question hanging for a while without any answer. I am little lazy to post messages. If I give up my lazyness I would have crossed few thousand posts on forum. Now I couldn't stop myself, you should get some help. anyway,

Dear friend, get real, by sending AR-11 is not going to resolve your address change problem. I went through this address change way, I contact lawyer, he promptly sent some forms to VSC, I sent AR-11 furthermore I talked to IIO and changed address over the phone. Did everything on same day. I was approved early this month on my new address.

So wake up, Call IIO tomorrow, first thing in morning and change address over the phone. Also call lawyer. Don't be so innocent which will create problem.

I would like to see your post by end of the day saying , I talked to IIO and talked to lawyer.

I did.

I did call the IIO today morning and changed my address.
She said that 'My application is in "Good" hands. God knows what that means. She said that I should hear something within 5-6 weeks. When I asked about my EAD renewal she said that she would wait till end of Novemeber.(Mine expiring in Jan). Then she said that it is a couple of 100 dollars(to me it is a lot:-)) and to renew my EAD so that I don't have to worry.
I am not sure what to do about my EAD. I have my paper work ready and was waiting...
I have to send it I guess.

What is your RD? Hope U get yor approval soon..

My RD is Oct 29th 01.

I am approved on Oct 4th & I received my approval notice on new address after a week. My wife's case was not approved so I called IIO this morning & talked with friendly lady. She said there is nothing wrong with her case and she must have approved. Only it's not updated on system. She took my work phone number and said she is going to send case info to her superviser to get it updated on system. moreover she said if there is any other status then her approval she will give me a call back. Can you believe that?

Oh man, she sounded so good :p
