On September 28, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

I just checked my cast status for my I-485 and I got this as a response. So, did they mail me a green card or a new EAD card, but I already have an EAD. This is for a L1 case.

Thanks

If you checked the case number for your I-485, then they are sending a GC.

If you checked the case number for your EAD, then they are sending you an EAD card.

Hey thanks for the quick response. But my passport hasnt been stampped for the Permanent Resdience, I wasnt called for an interview either? So did they waive my interview and will I be able to get my passport stamped after I get the card?

Thanks Again

Its is possible, although a rare occurance that you can get your card without a passport stamp.

Once you get the card, there is no need to get the stamp. In fact, if you go get the stamp at that point, they will ask you why you don't have a card yet.

The stamp is used as proof of permanent residence before the actual card arrives, not the other way around.
