You guys speak immigration language I dont understand. Heeeelp please.

I am so new to this. I just got married to a US Citizen, and we sent all of required the paperwork/forms to Chicago. (Sent on April 22 from Atlanta, GA)

What happens now?

Everyone is talking about a receipt...I have not received one.

Please, you guys speak this language I dont understand. Can someone explain what it all means and what I should do next? Is there anywhere that I can read about the process flow?

Please be nice about this. I am just new, and trying to get more information and what steps I need to take... THANK YOU!

Next step is, by now your check should have cashed and you will receive Receipt Notice for your I130, I 485, I765 & I131. (I765 & I131 are optional).
--On receipt of I485 & I765 they will ask you to call to aphone # and set up an appointment fro your Finger Print (FP) and Biometric.
--after that you have to wait. You should get your EAD( Employment Authorization Document) withing 90 days of receipt date (RD). If you don't get it then you have to go to your local district office(DO) to get an intrim EAD. You should get Advance Parole within 4 months. If not and you need to travel then you have to visit your DO.
--Next will be your and your spouse interview. The processing time is depends on your District Office. You can check the processing time on www.USCIS.gov.
Go through this forum and try to understand. You will figure out everything.
