Roy,
First of all hearty congrats. It must have been a frustating journey. YOu mentioned about contacting a senator. There are many people who are waiting with June RDs. Could you please give us the details ?

Thanks a lot

Since my case was delayed by a couple of months, I really got worried end April and approached the Local representative. My company had known her for a while and she immediately informed me about the status of my case. Last week when I called the Reprentative\'s office again, she called her Liasion office in Vermont and informed me to wait for another 2 weeks. got the approval within the same week.

Thanks again.

Congratulations!!! and a question

Did you contact the Senator or Congress men? Democrat or republican?
I don\'t know if it makes any difference. Could you please let me know the procedure. Thanks in advance.

Debjyoti, thanks for your responsive. One more question...

did the employer have to give a letter or any other info. to senator\'s office?

I want to know if somebody could contact senator\'s office and have them contact service center without any help/info. from the employer.

Thanks

You do not need any letter to contact your local representative. You may either contact via e-mail or phone. My suggestion is that send one or two e-mails and then, if you do not hear back, call the congressman\'s office directly. Yours should be a genuine case without much complications. Also, do not contact the senator if your RD is in August\'2001 or later. Most of the congressmen have a common Liasion office who can get you the answers right away. My experience is that these people are more effective than any individual or lawyer.

I did contact my local congress representative who is a Republican.
