Hi Guys,

I am happy to announce that finally my Gc got approved yesterday on July 11th with a "Card production ordered" status.Today morning I got 2 more emails for both me and my spouse with a "Approval notice sent" status. Suddenly I feel very relieved and hope everybody gets their Green Cards very soon.
I am posting in this forum for the first time just to share my details. This forum has been really helpful and useful. My guess is that USCIS is wayward and there is no particular pattern. I think there will be many approvals in the coming weeks as they have assigned visa numbers to pending I485, and all the transferred cases from VSC to TSC are gonna be approved (no doubt).

My details are below:

PD: June 2004 @VSC EB3 India
I140,I485 concurrent filing on Sept 2004
Filed and used 3 EAD & AP cards
Case transferred from VSC to TSC on 3/7/07
Address Change: sometime in first week of april
Filed 4th EAD card and AP on June 21 2007 - dont need anymore
LUD on I485 3/12/07,5/2/07,5/10/07,5/29/07
FP2: 5/9/07.
I485: Approved for both me and spouse on 7/11 :)
Dont know when my name check is cleared, bcos never called USCIS before.

Let me know if you guys need anymore information.

Was your case transferred to a local office by any chance ? Any idea if cases like that have been assigned visa numbers ? Mine has been transfered from Texas to a center in New York, though the case status doesn't say that. I found that out through the Congressman. THANX !!!

Congrats!!

This is a perfect example, USCIS is not working by PD and just they are approving the cases by RD. Now we have a lot of hopes that all will be get approved who ever applied thier 485 before 2006 and some before 2007.

All the best for all of us who is waiting for their approvals.

santoshbh, my case was not tranferred to local office and am not sure for such cases. But my guess is that the transferred cases are ready for approvals with visas assigned to them. When the IO says that the case is under review - it means they will approve them any time. The next one month will be approvals approvals approvals...............
 
Cases transferred to Local Offices don't have visa numbers

My case has been scheduled for an interview and pending at the local office. I had sent an expedite request after talking to an IO and received a letter in the mail today stating that they can't adjudicate the case since there are no visa numbers for employment based categories and asked me to follow up in Oct when the visa numbers become available.

I wonder if they will atleast conclude the interview process before the visa numbers become available or will just sit on my case without further processing.

Anyone in similar situaiton ?
