There is only one problem in India, which doesn't exist in the US. Age. Youngsters in their 20s can get jobs easily in India, I never had a problem when I was, even in a non computer field.

That field (DOB) should be elimainated from all employemnt forms in India!

Bureacrats and Politicians are interested making money. They don''t have interest about people, but to get the votes they will implement the reservations. I am wondering probably they are still thinking they may implemt reservations into sports, modeling, Fashion designing, Movies, marraiges too.

I don't know what illliterate politicans will do to the country.

Any way my point is I am getting screwed eaither here or there ( I may get a good job back in India what about my kids).

I am not against to any body.

But Come for compition any where. If you are in the situation to compete. Politicians needs to create by paying money to colleges or universities to get education. Then compete again to get into Science ( Engneering, Medical areas)

What India needs is more colleges and schools so that reservation doesn't reduce the pie for forward community. I come from TN and the govt there has 69% reservation. But what they did was they took 70% of the seats from private colleges and applied merit + reservation on it. So the poorer forward community ppl got in to these private colleges on govt. quota. Otherwise these would have gone to just rich FC/BC/OBC brats who are able to pay the management fees (running in to some lakhs per year).
It appears that most FC ppl love to keep the number of IITs and IIMs to the minimum (some kind of social status). I say open a large number of them and attract good faculty. Widen the pie and the problem goes away. BTW I'm FC.
 
AGC4ME........so you are saying that we need more stuff so that some is left even after they are doled out....

we need more govt sector jobs(with no productivity)...more everywhere(private sector, colleges etc..) so that we can accomodate all people who want a free ride...

i am not against subsidised education.....but i am against this vote politics based caste system reservation...
 
Stupid logic.. Why not open IITs to people who can't read and write and give them a seat. Even better all Indian colleges can be called IIT.

People get into IIT by hardwork and passing a tough exam. If you want to be able to compete you should look for financial help/reservations on the prep side (ie. high/middle school) and not expect reservations in IIT. A lot of people who join IIT under the current reservation quota just drop out because they can't handle the classes. Now I know you will say let's lower the standard so these guys can pass.

And TN is run by a bunch of f***** morons.. communist police and we don't need them in the USA.

India can afford only so many IITs\IIMs\NITs.
look at the US education system; it is expensive and people have to save money for kid's college starting around the time the kid is born.

as you point out, the pvt colleges can not run w\o some government interference in India. so there is little incentive for investment from pvt sectors in education.

socialist economic model has its virtues; reservations were introduced for a reason. 70% is stretching it a lot; FC people do not hold a lot of clout in Indian polity; so, they do not (want to??) influence education (or any other ) policies.

techy2468, don't apply the logic for more colleges to govt. jobs. Wondering how many ppl here really want to go and work for Indian govt. if u have a population of 1.25 billion 60% of which are youth then u need to open enough institutes to educate them. Otherwise the country will become a happy hunting ground for Maoists and Naxals. Yes u need lot of private companies. Hey the market is huge in India. If USA can create the world's largest economy with 250million ppl, Imagine what India can create.

to sum it up all - life is not easy anywhere. Coming to US on a h1b and initial years on h1b is party time - going around places, changing employers, friends and fun. Thats it. After that, everything is reality. India, US,Canada, China, Mexico every place has its own issue. Learn to live with crap :) be it on h1b in US or reservation system in India or communist govt in China or biting winters of Canada, when it comes to stability and responsible career and personal life, these are some realities we deal with.

I wish there was a place on earth where education, merit, hardwork etc... are the only factors needed for good life.

how many IIM and IIT grads have really worked for the country ? For every N.R.Narayana Moorthy there are atleast 20 of them who leave for the states and settle down here. Tell me why should India even support and have these institutions ?

I surprising people don't want compete. They want free berths. Compete in exams if you get good rank Govt suppose to pay for you directly to colleges or what ever. With out even you are last in race you need to admission because you are behind. That’s so funny. Can any body can expect Grizzlier needs to be NBA final this year because they are behind. Does any body wants implement reservations in SOCER/NFL/NHL etc . . . . . ..


Anther interesting thought do you know why Govt education system was screwed. They implemented reservation in Govt jobs. That’s major reason.

I know couple of families who can't support theme self giving birth to 5 kids. What Govt is doing. Implementing Reservations( what they do they don't how to compete so they will sleep).

Yes They are humans too, do you know what to do. Help them to get education and tell them to compte and aslo tell them you need to compete.
As far as my point rigt now I am giving free education in India for couple oof kids, I am doing because of one reson India is my Mother Land. I didn't get nothing for free. My father is farmer, I came all the way here by suffering. Be in my shoes. Still I am not expecting any thing for free.
