Congratulations ! Question

How do you know that your file was requested on 6/4/01? Was NVC holding your file instead of sending it to the consulate in your country? Bcs I-140 approved for CP, file usually goes to the consulate.

I called NVC to check about my file for in my I140-it says approved for CP. They said Vermont requested my file on 6-01---due to request for AOS.

Enjoy your freedom. I called INS today but was on hold for 55 minutes and still didn\'t get through to talk to the Reps.

Congratulations - a quick clarification

Looks like VSC asked for your file (6/01) before it was assigned to an officer for approval. And secondly until 6/01 your file was still in VSC - ie never sent to consulate. Just clarifying - I am a I-140 CP case filed for AOS. Thanks.

I am just like you--I140 approved for CP but applied for AOS.Thus my file was never sent to consulate and stayed with NVC till 6\'01--when INS asked for it---I go tmy FP notice in July\'01 (for 8\'01).
Hope this clarifies it a bit
Dont worry...u will be approved soon too
