yellow letter...no fp letter yet

hi everyone,

has anyone received a YL before getting the FP letter?

seems like my case is stuck after they received the files, the check was cashed and no response since then other than the YL.

any input would be great.

I dont know whats happening to my application. I applied on 2/6/10 to phoenix, az, application was received on 2/9/10, check was cashed on 2/18/10 and Status was changed to RFE on 3/4/10 but I have not received any yellow letter or FP notice yet. Infact I have not even received the initial NOA too. My postal address in the USCIS is correct. I called the customer service and they filed a complaint for me and gave me a ticket number and said that I would get a reply in 45 days. What if I miss my window of fingerprinting? Anyone with similar problems........any suggestions, should I get an infopass appointment and see whats going on with my application?

i called USCIS yesterday and they gave me a ticket number... this morning i got an email saying that i am in the queue for an interview appointment and should received an appointment notification within 60 days. so we shall see if that happens within the time frame they are saying.

have you made an Infopass appointment yet?
 
went for the infopass yesterday, the officer checked my file and said that all my stuff is being processed in an appropriate
way. There are no issues. They have not scheduled a FP date for me yet. So even though the system says RFE, they have not mailed me anything. So if I do not get anything in the coming two months, I should schedule another infopass.
So I guess I will just wait.

artobello I have two questions for you,
how can you be on queue for an interview when you have not even completed your FP?
the USCIS sent you an email within 1 day of your calling them, is that correct?

Don't worry. I think you are fine. The same thing happened to me as well. I'm with Phoenix. AZ center, and I received my FP letter one day after the YL.

i had my biometrics for removal of conditions on my greencard in january of 2009. uscis said that biometrics is valid for 15 months so i am still within the time frame.

yes, the day after i called USCIS they sent me an email with all the information i had given them and the reply was that i am in the queue for interview.
