Hi,

    Trying to make a long story short.

    - Dec 26th 2001, AVM says my case has been approved. My wife and
        family\'s case is still pending though.

    - On Dec 28th (Friday), I talked with IIO about my family\'s case
        She told me to keep checking the AVM next week as my family\'s
        cases are also assigned to officer.

    - Today I call AVM (just a while back), it says the following
        message for my and my wife\'s case -

        "On Dec 29th 2001 the results of your fingerprint review for
         your I-485 application to adjust to PR status were received
         and processing has been resumed on your case. We will mail
         you a notice if further action is needed or a decision has
         been made".

I don\'t know how this happened. I guess I am a bit unfortunate at the
end of the year. May be I will get my approval in the coming week or
two.

So guys, it seems that AVM is not completely reliable.

Checked AVM

I too got the same message for myself. I didn\'t check for my wife. I don\'t know what does it mean.

Got the same message for me and wife! Mine was a RFE on 485. AVM updated on RFE receipt on Dec 20th.

Definitely not the best way to end this year.
 
don\'t worry, once approved, never they go back on your case...

it\'s just some AVM updating problems

Got same "processing resumed" message from AVM

I got the same message for my and my wife\'s cases. Does that mean something that merits our positive attention or just another beautiful bubble as a new year gift from INS?
 
Looks like a AVM glitch because we already got our GC approved and stamping done and we got same mes

Could it be that is new message is a human-error and the correct message should really have been .."Approved!" hehe, you wish...
 
My AVM message didnt change

I did my FP on Nov 7 and the AVM changed the messsage like
on Nov16 we received your Fp and Pending Review ....
To day I checked the AVM and the Message is still the same.
MY RD is AUg 14,2001.

We got our stamping done already.
And now AVM says - "FP received on 29th dec and resumed processing .........."
Little wierd.

I hope now they are working on the actual plastic card delivery.

Guys,

     I got an RFE for last 4 pay stubs, W2s and employment verification.

So the "Approved..." message was really worst thing that INS did
for me.

Again my AVM message does not say anything about RFE. So it just
means that do not trust AVM completely.

PCee can you change the status of my case from Approved to RFE
issued..

Sangli we are all sorry man it is the most unkindest cut and do not worry and it will surely go fast. I shall pray for it.
 
Don\'t worry Sanli, RFE is just a piece of formality.

You\'ll get approval right after RFE paperwork got received back by INS.

It might make you feel hopeful knowing that my RFE documents were sent on Dec 18. and ackwoledged by INS on 20 Dec. Based on how fast the receipts are being sent and AVMs being updated, your overall delay due to RFE can be as less a week, provided you can produce all the required documents on time..

God help us all.

is this something that u had earlier sent and they are asking this again ?

Yes.

They asked for last two years of W2 forms. Last 4 paystubs and
employment verification letter.

I had submitted all these documents to our lawyer while filing
I-485 in April. It is not clear to me if he included them in
the filing.

I am going to talk with him as I send him the required docs and
will let you know if they were part of the I-485 application or
not.

my lawyer completes the RFE reply.

Was your case approved and then this RFE happened?
Didn\'t you get the stamping done?
 
No it is still pending only the AVM message got changed to Approved for a short time after X-mas

I never received the approval notice. The RFE was dated Dec 26th
the same day when the case message was changed to "Approved".

Later this message got changed to "On Dec 29th ...".

So I think the person or program which updates the AVM database
changed the case status to Approved by mistake instead of RFE
is issued...
