I received my courtesy copy of I-485 approval for myself and my family. INS office SFO was given as venue for stamping.

Questions: Do I have to wait for Original copy from Attorney or can I go to INS with courtesy copy I recd?
Even for SFO office, do I have to go early in the morning at 2am and be in bee line?
Can I switch my venue and go to SJose instead?
Are kids also required to come for the stamping process?
I heard it is a 5-6 hr process - Is it true?

You do not have to stand in line. Please go there ontime at 8 am. Enter from ethe main gate on Sansome Street. Do not go via a long line. I did that mistake.......I almost wasted 3 hours. It takes just half an hour.......Good Luck....

wait to receive attorney\'s original copy of approval or can I go with the courtesy copies I recd directly from INS. Attorney suggests to wait (she has not recd yet!), but you know I am not able to bear the suspense!!!
 
Use the courtesy copy bacause

1. INS prefers that (it has your address on it)
2. They never asked me for the original, and I never provided it
    to them.
 
I noticed on Sunday (1/13/02) that the AVM was updated, saying...

The I-485 has been approved on Thursday 1/10/02, and the notices have been mailed. I noticed this AVM update for the first time since my I-485 filing in 2/2001. At none of the other stages it has been updated, which caused me more confusion. I got the notices in today\'s postal mail.
