Hi everyone I have abt 7 months in this country as a GC holder and i am already missing my fiancee back at home. I know am in a fix interms of us starting a family coz of the long petition backlogs. I am thinkin abt going home to marry her may b the end of next year but then not filling a 130 for her with the hope that it leaves the door open for her to come in on a non immigrant visa like F1 as i understand F1s dont ask if a person is married so as long as they dont find a petition in her records then she stands the same chance of an F1 like evryone else. I am trying to achieve too thiings have a wedding back at home and cut the waiting time is it doable or will they realise she is married? I assume it isnt illegal is it?

Once she gets married to you, in her application for visa to the US, she will need to disclose that nugget, thereby ensuring a denial of her visa application. You can marry, but you will need to be the only one traveling, cause they will surely deny her a visa..

She has to come here first on F1 and then get married. You can get married there and if she'll be lucky enough to get H1 she can come...

thanks

Thanks for the replies i think i got the wrong information but now that i know i will see what to do.
