Wrong name

I got I797 letter last week and my first name is spelt wrong. I called customer service and I was told to fax a letter to NSC before they order GC. Is this normal?

Do it as soon as you can.

well they are not about to mail your GC after I797. You still have a lot of time to go. But obviously do it ASAP.
