Wrong Lastname on H1-B extention

Hi,

I have recieved H1-B extention approval notice from INS but the family name /last name "Menon" is wrongly spelled as "Memon".
Actually even on the Receipt Notice it was wrong but unfortunately I never noticed.My company is saying its not a problem for revalidating the Visa.Can anyone please help me with some information?

Thanks for the reply.What would you suggest me to go ahead to re-validate my H1 or requesting for a correction?

It is always safer to get corrected. See what is in the I129 application, if it was Menon then you can send a copy of I129 for revalidation and you should get it stamped as Menon.

If the mistake for lawyer's take them to task. Ask them to give a letter of explantion. I would suggest that you try for revalidation, if denied, make lawyer pay the premium processing fee and other fees to get a corrected H1...
