Wrong Information in DS 160

Hello..
Since I did not get an NOC and leave approval from my company, my consultant asked me to hide all the details regarding my job. And I mentioned that I am not employed. As a result of this, they rejected my Visa application under section 214b. I have realised that I have made a blunder. Now if I change the employment information entirely, and provide correct info, will the consulate belive or will they treat the matter as a case of fraud.

You deliberately hid a material fact, right? So the consulate will not be wrong if they treat you as an applicant with a history of fraud.
