wrong I-20 was sent for OPT

I will graduate and get my MS on 21 Oct 2006. My application for OPT was denied because the university sent wrong I-20. Based on I-20 USCIS decided that I was applying for CPT and denied my application. The University sent new corrected I-20 on 5 Oct 2006. Question:
Is it probable that USCIS will approve my OPT application?
My F1 will expire after 2 months on Dec 21. What if I don’t get any information till that time? Will I be still in status? Should I call USCIS?

Currently I am working under CPT. The DSO of school told me that I can work under CPT until I get respond from USCIS about OPT. Is this right?

I would think that your OPT will get approved by USCIS. You should have received your OPT by now. It has been already two months.
