One of my friend have just found out that his lawyer has submitted a H1B transfer petition with a wrong first name. His lawyer has sent him a copy of the petition after he has posted one to BCIS. Does anybody has experience of the same kind? What he can do at this time?
----- If your friend or lawyer has got the receipt of H1 Transfer then he can send the copy of receipt and submit the correct name to BCIS, lawyers know how to do it before H1 is approved. I know a friends case at the time of H1 transfer lawyer sent a petition with wrong spellings of LAST name (he read it after H1 was approved when lawyer sent him certified package of I-129and LCA) but when my friend received the H1 transfer approval his last name was correct on H1 approval, I hope in my friend case they might have matched the past H1 record or I-94 copy or LCA for correct last name spellings or it went to the hands of experienced officer
He is going to start with the new company next week. Thanks a lot for response.
--- I think he can start working and his lawyer should send letter to BCIS of fill up new I-129 if the name on LCA is also wrong ask the lawyer what to do.
