Wrong date and gender

I got my green card last last week. Instead of saying that I am resident since "6/11/2008" it says "6/11/2007". Also, my gender on the card says "F" while I am male. I need to travel in September, and am really wondering whether I will have a problem. I called USCIS and they said I should send the card back with I-90 and supporting documents but they could not say for sure that I will have a new and corrected green card by August (when I need to apply for the visa for Holland). Is it possible for me to mail the card and I-90 and have the stamp in my passport (I am not even sure what to do about that). What should I do?

You should get a stamp in your passport saying you have a GC. Then, send it back with a letter asking for your case to be expedited due to your travels. It may work, who knows. Are you here on asylum, by the way? In that case, you do get an extra year of permanent resident status. As for the gender, that sucks...

One of my friend got refused stamping, because he is still having the incorrect GC with him. The poor guy then sent the GC for correction with I-90and got the proof and then took the infopass appointment to get the stamp.
