Wrong Consulate Assigned

CP Gurus,

I am in a dilema, i had requested Mumbai ( Bombay) consulate for my CP, but on Friday august 6th, when NVC created my case they have assigned New Delhi.. as case number begins with NWD2004XXXXXXX...I was wondering is there a way to request a change in consulate. If yes, will it delay issuance of Fee receipt .. can i call NVC and request it or my Lawyer needs to do that. Gurus any suggestion.

Lawyer has to follow up with the NVC, he needsto send a letter with proper documentation of your eligibility to the Mumbai consulate. It may delay your CP case preparation at NVC but not 100 % sure.
