Wrong birth date on School leaving/ no Birth Certificate available

Hi! I need help determining my next course of action! Here is my situation- my wife does NOT have a Birth Certificate from the Municipality. Her Birth date on School leaving certificate is wrong and unfortunately that was what used for Passport as well. Now for I-485, she needs 1) either a BC or a Non-availability certificate 2) School leaving certificate and 3) affidavits by parents and relative. So, in her situation, she doesn't know if the birth was recorded (born in 1977), and if it was she will get a BC with the correct date. But that will not match the date on Passport as well as school cert. I can get the passport date changed based on Birth Certificate, but the school leaving cert will not change. So, how should I have all 3 sync'ed either with the correct date OR the wrong date (through a non-availability cert)????

If her birth date on school leaving certificate is wrong then why did she apply the passport knowing that her date of birth on school leaving certificate is wrong?.

FYI School leaving certificate is not needed filing I-485.
She should get Non-availability certificate of Birth AND 2 affidavit from parents/relatives. Affidavit should be on stamp paper signed before notary and write her DOB same as on her Passport. That way she will have same date of birth on Passport ,school leaving and on affidavits and on her I-485 and that DOB for her will be final.

So, in her situation, she doesn't know if the birth was recorded (born in 1977), and if it was she will get a BC with the correct date.

If she's able to get BC, you may take the passport to the nearest Indian consulate and have the DOB corrected on it. That's what I did.
