I think this article lends form to many of my fears. Maybe immigration to the US is not all that we think it is.

I fully acknowledge that there is a price for liberty. Part of the price is responsibility. Another part of the price is the mechanism(s) to bring justice to those who abuse their liberty.

When we are asked to pay more, _ensuring_ that liberties are not abused, we approach a police state. (Note how the article compares the INS to the Gestapo). That's when we must see if our wallets can afford it.

What I'm saying is that the price is rising.
