Worry about this - I-485 issue
Guys,
Today, I met up with some of my colleagues, who are in final stages of GC. Their I-485 was filed in July 2001, EB-3 RIR, Nebraska Service Center. At least four of them got RFE from INS asking them provide lay-off records of the company (lawyer got the notice).
I work for a Fortune 100 company. Our company is very solid and ethical, and does everything by the book. There were some lay-offs in 2001, but none in IT. We are a huge company with more than 120000 employees nation wide.
Now you all can imagine the degree of scrutiny shown by smart folks at INS. I am sure our company will provide a solid answer to INS. But I wonder if they just want to make things harder for hard working tax-paying folks and make things easier for Border jumpers.
Please feel free to comment.
