Worried: I-134 or I-864?

My CP for the DV is scheduled for real soon at the US consulate in Paris, and while I was going over my documents I noticed that I had requested the I-134 affidavit of support from my parents instead of the I-864.

Should I ask them to fill the other one too, despite the fact that I already have the documents for the I-134? Any quick help would be appreciated, I'm worried sick about this...

hey,I am doing AOS and i am here in F-1,do i need i-134 or i-864?What are the supporting documents for i-134?Can my father(he is not USC) can fill I-134?

was it not clearly indicated above which affidavit you need if you are getting your GC through DV?

and is it hard to read the instructions to the affidavit?

Obviously it was not clear if they are asking the question. To those asking the quesiton, it can be confusing, for example, the letter I was sent for AOS told me to bring an I-864, despite me knowing that an I-131 was needed. Rest assured, the I-131 is the correct form.

Hope this response is more helpful than the above.

no, I-131 is not the right form. I-131 is a request for an advance parole or other travel documents.

I-864 is for family-based immigration. I-134 is the right one for you.
this was the original reply. I don't know how to make it even clearer. Do you? Do you think repeating it would make it more understandable?

Clearly I-131 was a typo, pretty obvious I meant I-134.

And this is a forum where we help each other, you are rude and unhelpful here, how about you keep it nice? You have so much knowledge and information, people here are just worried about the process - you can achieve so much more if you are pleasant than with your rudness.

I read this and i kinda laughed at first. Anyway, u might sound a little rude but i can see your point. I know you don't want to keep answering thesame question when the answer is already up there. I guess the guy who asked the question didn't see the previous posts. thats my guess.

:-) I suppose my point for LucyMo was: don't answer if you can't say it nicely, someone else will repsond and help the person. Its easy to get lost on these forums and miss responses etc. Some people rely on the forum not only for information but support, and I think she can pull her finger out and be nice about it. That's all!

I am being nice. I answer the same questions over and over and over again. I may understand it when people are lazy and don't want to search the rest of the topics. But when the answer is given in the SAME topic just above their questions - that makes me think - how lazy are they exactly? Or something else?

they expect us to spend our time to answer their questions, but they cannot be expected to actually read them?

Probably best just not to answer then, as it takes just as much effort to reply in that way, as it does to answer the question again.

I agree with LucyMO. It's really frustrating when you take your time to answer and people just ignore the answers. If you never tell these people off they'll keep expecting others to do their work.

Guys, Guys, Guys! Drop the attitude here.
Some of you are very helpful and are the knowledge of this forum. Thank you for that.
But stop being rude with those who don't know how to use a forum and all.
Just say it the right way, not with some Condescending judgments.

You're tired of answering the same questions? Well, just stop doing it, or stop the whining.

Do you think people will dare to ask questions after seeing unfriendly answers like that? I don't think so.

Are you that nice in real life too? At work? Or just in this forum?!? (I'm saying that, because it's not the first time I see that kind of rude answers here...)

You're doing a great job helping people, but that doesn't give you the right to have this attitude.

Otherwise, thanks again to all the active members of this forum and the help they provide.

I am usually nice the first time I answer a question in the same thread. But my nice answer in the SAME thread was just ignored.
And yes: My attitude not only in this forum but in life is that it doesn't do people any good if they are being told their whole life "now do this, now this, now this"... you do those people a lot better service if you encourage them to try to find their own way. And if they still need help, they can ask... but first try yourself.
An example: If someone asks "when is my number current". What good does it do to tell them when you think it will be current? It's a lot better to tell them where to find the bulletin and how to read it.
