Worldwide EB2

My wife and I have our interview scheduled in early March. I'm hoping worldwide EB2 will stay current in March. What is the latest rumor as far as staying current or not? I think a couple of months ago the predictions were that Worldwide EB2 will retrogress sometime in 2006.

I really hope that EB2 will be current by the time I go for my interview. I still have the hurdle of clearing the security checks which I havn't cleared when I last checked with the local office two weeks ago! It is going to be something if I cleared my security checks by March :D

One can only hope!

Mr. Green,

What triggers your interview, job change etc.? Good luck for your interview in March.

I have no idea! I've been working with the same employer for the last seven years, and I never had any legal problems except a couple of speeding tickets! I also filed my own labor, so everything should've been straight forward! The only thing I could think of is that I got married a month before I filed my I-140 and I-485, but in that case they should've approved my application and had an interview for my wife. Oh well, I guess I will know for sure in a month and a half!

Do you guys think I should take my lawyer with me?

I have a feeling you'll have a smooth interview since you stick to the same employer for 7 years without any other issues. Your new marriage may or may not trigger the interview. I read some guideline or memo from CIS last year regarding the EB-based interview. I cannot remember clearly, but I can recall some of them, like EB1 normally no interview(not very true), EB2 and 3, could require interview if you change job, or doubt job's loss...
