working without EAD ?

I have my EAD through my spouse which expired today.I have been working through my EAD all these days.We did applied for extension but haven't yet received.
My question/concern is - Can I continue working?
Is there anything else should I do? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.Please advise.

No. You have to stop working. If you work without an EAD, you can complicate your case down the line.

If your EAD application is pending for >90 days, go to the local office and ask for an interim EAD. Bring your receipt notice, a copy of your immigrant petition and a letter from your employer that he will let you go if you don't return with a valid EAD.

They might try to stall with something like 'it could be in the mail, so come back after 104 days' or other bullcrap. Remain friendly but insistent and keep asking for the interim-EAD.
