Working with H4 EAD While H4 Change of Status is Pending

Hi everyone,

I currently hold a valid H4 EAD, which is set to expire in one year. I have recently applied for a change of status for my H4 visa, but it is still pending approval. My question is: Can I join a new company and start working using my existing H4 EAD while my H4 change of status petition is still in process?

Apologies, I wasn’t clear.
I had H1B till Feb 2024. I had my EAD H4 from earlier application, and card expires in Aug 2025.
I reapplied for H4 COS this Feb.
So while my H4 is pending, can I start working on my H4 EAD?
