working for two jobs using EAD, urgent help please, thank you!!!!

Hello all,

my I140 was approved and I485 has been pending for more than a year. I am changing my employer right now. Can I do this? I am planning to start my new job on Jan 3rd while taking paid vacation with my old company from Jan 3rd to 13th, the employment with my old company would be terminated on 13th. Is this legal?? would there be a problem with my GC if I did that? I am worried about that because that means I am actually having two full time jobs (in theory) for the duration from Jan 3rd to 13th, is that allowed while I am using an EAD?? Help please, thank you all!!!

Don't worry dude,
There is always a transition period between the jobs. It can be either way, that means if you resign from one job and join the other after n number of days or other way round, you join somewhere and your resignation in the previous company is still in effect for n days. now this n days has some limitations that i dont know but in your case its just 10 days different ..so dont worry much of that. nothing will happen.

just curious...why? you want to put yourself through such predicament. is your vacation money for 10 days going to be thousands of dollars. why you want to put your GC process in jeopardy for few thousand $$$.
i know i would join the new co on jan14th, no room for any future gotchas...

There is no jeopardy at all in such a strategy. I had two jobs (but only working at one) for about six weeks.
