Worked without authorization!

Hi there,
I got married in July 05 to USC and we are about to file all the papers. I was confident about my work without authorization ( I'm a Nanny) since my lawyer told me that it's usually not a problem at all. Another Nanny (friend ) got married as well and her lawyer didn't want to take her case ( he already did some of her paperwork but when she said that she has been working he cancelled everything ).

So now I'm really confused because I don't wanna have my case denied because of a stupid mistake. Does it matter how long I've been working? Or if I've paid taxes (I don't have a social security number so I never paid taxes)?
Any infos about that would help me a lot! Thanks already and good luck to everyone!

You should be fine. If you're married to USC working w/o authorization is forgiven. The only thing that you should be concern is your spouse's job, make sure he/she has a job that can meet 125% above minimum and file taxes for the last three years.

Some lawyers doesn't know what their doing so some of them only want to take easy cases the one w/o problems at all.

Thanks so much!!! My husband is making now 125% and more but we still have to use his mom as a co-sponsor since he studied before and hasn't met the requirements!!!
Good luck to you
