Worked remotely from India, now returning after 9 months

I am employed on H1B since last 8 yrs. I had to return to India for a family emergency. I have been here since last 9 months. During this period I have worked remotely. My salary gets deposited in my US Bank account.

Now, I am returning back to join my office. What are the precautions I should take for -

1. Indian Immigration when leaving the country (like tax filing etc.)
2. US Immigration (like prove why I was away for such long period, etc.)

---when you were in India you were NOT on H1 status. H1 is for working in US.
Now, I am returning back to join my office. What are the precautions I should take for -

1. Indian Immigration when leaving the country (like tax filing etc.)
---Nothing to do. just fill up the form they give you after you get Boarding pass from Airline counter.

2. US Immigration (like prove why I was away for such long period, etc.)
------They dont ask why you were out of US. They are happy if all H1 holder are out of US. remember the phone number of your US employer and employer address, if possible get employer latest letter that you will have job with them and at POE show only what is asked.
