Ok ignorance of the OPT rules has me in this quandry.
I was NOT aware of the fact that one cannot work after the OPT expires. Before the OPT expiry date my employer applied for a new J1 visa but the visa was approved 1 month after my OPT expired.
During this 1 month i worked and recieved salary from my employer.
Desperately looking to find a way out of this situation. Any help appreciated???
