I am in H status now and just filed for I-485. I heard from a friend that I can apply an EAD card for my wife under H-4 so that she does not need to stay in home and she can find a job.

Is that true folks? If it is correct, what are the procedures? Thanks alot for your help.

yes, it is true for your wife as well as for you. The procedure is very simple. It\'s fine if you have a lawyer, and want to use for this service otherwise you may do it on your own. Go to INS site for more info. and forms.

EAD for Dependents on H4

Hi, My I-485 is under process. Can I apply for an EAD for my son who is on H4? Thanks.

if your state allows people under 21 to work, it is better to have a EAD to enable your son to use his SSN and earn something.
If he is over 21, he will "age out" and his GC might be abandoned..
All 485 adjustees are eligible for EAD and AP...
