Work location not the same as the one specified in the LC

Hello folks, I need your guidance on my situation. I am wondering what repercussions, if any, there are if I work in a location different from the one specified in the LC. The 2 offices are about 400 miles apart in different states (same employer). My GC was approved in Sep '05 and am temporarily living in a different location. Since my wife has less chances of getting a job in the LC location, we were thinking of moving to another location (same employer, not location specified in LC) where the chances for her to get a job greatly increase. Will this cause problems for us or my employer (since my work location is not the LC location). Obviously, my intent is to fulfill the LC obligation but am wondering if there's a way out.

Thanks to both of you for your inputs. Now, the problem is my employer is asking me to go back to the LC location by Jan. They also have this clause in the employment letter which I have yet to sign. What if I sign and decide to live in the non-LC location? From a work point of view, I don't see any issues working from a different office. Employer's just worried from an immigration perspective. We will definitely try for jobs in both locations and see where my wife get's offers from. How do I convince them that it shouldn't be an issue at all?

Check your LC application about the job location. A good attorney will usually write primary location -- city A and various client locations if your sponsor is a consultant. If you have those words then your sponsor can move you to any location he wishes.

Thanks for the info, hipka. I'm pretty sure that the atty did not specify that. She only mentioned the primary city even though I do travel for work to various client locations.
