Hi,

I have seen some where on USCIS website, that asylees can even work without work authorization. I have already renewed my work authorization without any problem, but I want to send that link to my company's HR department so in future if by any chance my work authorzation is late they already know about it.

Can any of you please forward me the link to that on USCIS website please.

Thanks alot

The way to go, is getting a new SS card without the restriction that says Its not valid to work without working authirization. Go to the closest SS administration office, take your old SS card, your asylum granted letter, your I-95, your passport and your working permit.
That way, next time you only need to show your SS card and your driving license.
Suerte :)

Dear Minsk,

thanks for this link it is helpful, but can you or anyone else send the link from uscis website that states clearly that asylees can work without work authorization or something like that. I remember i saw it some where on uscis website but cant find it again.

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't have that link, but as far as proving your eligability to work without EAD, I think the link to Social Security Administration website I've posted should be official and convincing enough for your employer. It clearly says " All individuals granted asylum are authorized to work based on that status" and "The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) now considers aliens granted asylum to have permanent employment authorization and requests that we treat them as permanent resident aliens."
