Work abroad while on H1B visa? Please help

I'm working for a US employer on a part-time H1B visa, with a range of specified range of hours. For the summer I want to work full-time for a non-US employer. I would be located outside the US. And I potentially want to continue working part-time for my US employer during this time.

My questions are:
-Is this do-able? Is my H1B status/visa still valid if I'm abroad for a few months?
-Can I work on the H1B visa while I'm abroad?

--------------When you are out of US you work for A or B or Part time or full time you are NOT on H1. H1 is for work in US
