Urgent - I-140 filing

Even I'm having the same confusion.I got my PERM Labour approved this month begining.I have an RIR case also filed and waiting for that Labour.It's in Backlog.

So even I have the same doubt on within how many days I-140 must be filed from the date of receiving the labour certificate?

With the perm LCA is it 45 days
with Backlog (traditional) there is no limit.
I am not 100% sure abt this but I heard this from some imm gurus...
please confirm this from proper source.. I also need to know this.

I tried to enquire with few ppl.For Regular and for PERM there is not limit on the no of days within which the I-140 must be filed from the date the labour was certified.Atleast that rule is not in effect now.

But if somebody can confirm this, it would be very helpful for ppl having this doubt.

and the answer is 45 rule is just proposed but it is not in effect yet...

45 day time limit to file i-140 with labor certification

I have an approved RIR labor certification last 8/26/06.

Can I still file it this May 2007?

Or is this labor certification already dead?

Is the 45 day time limit to file an approved labor certification in effect?
