With the officer for more than 2 weeks. What the heck is going on

I was told by an IIO more than 2 weeks back that my file is with
an officer. But no change in AVM yet. WHat the heck is going on?.

How long does it take to get approval after being assigned?.

pd 01/98, RD-07/00, ND 07/00. NSC.

   my case was assigned on sept 18 and AVM has not been changed.

I have the same RD & ND as yours. And was told case was with an officer. When was you told that your case was assigned?

I guessed if the IIO was telling the true. Then, ours cases were assigned to an officer who is doing early Christmas shopping every day. When I was told my case was assigned to an officer on Sep. 26. She said give the officer about two weeks when I asked how long it took to have the case approved. Any thought?

I called INS and was able to get hold of an IIO. She said that my case was assigned to an Officer on that day.
 
What is the procedure ?

I am wondering what is the procedure officer goes through to clear
a case except from examining all the papers we submit !. No matter what they do, it should not be taking such a long time !.

chatting with IIO yesterday, I was told that each IIO works on their "own speed"...
