If I do decide to travel abroad (to Japan on a temporary visiting visa), do I need a non-expired H-4 visa concurrent with my I-485 to get back to the United States?
Otherwise, I haven't filed for Advanced Parole yet, but I think one of the biggest problems would be to convince the Japanese Consulate General to approve my visa application while waiting for a decision on my Advanced Parole application, and then try to have it mailed to me while I spend my three months there.
