Winning DV lottery with Dual Eligible Citizenship

Hi there :) I have the same condition like you :) can you please share your experiance, how was the interview, any advice. Thank you so much!!

There is no such thing as dual eligibility based on citizenship. Eligibility is based on birth country.

How about if someone's mother had a protracted delivery, and during the delivery the mother was moved via ambulance and that ambulance actually crossed a border (which also happened to be a border DV region).

Or how about someone born on a plane or a boat. Ha!!!

Bet ya didn't think of THAT!

Isn't there international law covering what country you are "assigned" to if born on a plane or boat?

But in any case ;) you miss the point - eligibility is still based on birth not citizenship, which was the question...

My husband has a dual "eligible" citizenship (Turkey and Azerbaijan), and his country of eligibility is the same as written in his Birth Certificate. His elder daughter was born in Azerbaijan, but when she was 3 they moved to Turkey, so she doesn't even have Azerbaijan citizenship, still her country of eligibility is Azerbaijan, since it's clearly stated in her Birth Certificate.
As far as I know, you can "use" your parents' country of birth ONLY if your country of birth is not eligible.

And also another "story": my close friend from Baku, was born in 1985 on a plane (Stockholm - Moscow). In his Birth Certificate is says: Moscow, USSR. His parents were born in Baku, Azerbaijan, their nationality is Azerbaijan, their country of eligibility is Azerbaijan, but his country of eligibly is Russia, since it's his country of birth.
