Will there be a DV 2010?

If u re-read this link and you will find your answer which says those who were not selected "...may try for the upcoming DV-2010 lottery if they wish. The dates for the registration period for the DV-2010 lottery program will be widely publicized during August 2009."

No, it's not completely true....both the Dems and the Reps are against the DV program and there is a very high chance that they'll pass a bill to finish the DV program(infact there are already 5 bills in the HR, if any of which pass there will be no DV lottery anymore).

But congress soon goes into recess and they don't have much time to pass something as sensitive as immigration right now.

When they come back they don't have much time either...elections come up then.

So there is a very high chance that there will be thelottery for 2010.
 
Dv 2010 dates set 02oct08 - 01dec08

Mark your calendars! The U.S. Department of State has set the date for this year's Green Card Lottery. The DV-2010 Diversity Visa Lottery will begin at noon EST on October 2, 2008, and end at noon EST on December 1, 2008.

The State Department hasn't yet released the updated instructions and information
 
There is a DV2010 avalible October 3 2008

Russia and Kosovo have been included in the list of eligble countries for the DV2019 lottery. I have the complete list and all requirements posted on my web page.
