In Rupnet a few people with RD 01/14/2002 have been approved!!! Whats happening to the Dec cases then?

Will the real Jan 02 approvals pls stand up!

Online message for one of those LIN numbers shows different as
"On April XX, 2003, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."
How can they order a new card with out passport stamping and finger prints??????

Please do not get upset. If you scan the January, 02 cases using any script, you will find a good number of approvals. Most of them approved before the I-485 freeze and again the January approval started since late February, 03. The difference is that only today we are seeing it in rupnet. After all 'Randomness thy name is INS ( Sorry BCIS) !

According to my lawyer they are approving for Nov-2001 heavily and some cases in Dec-01 and Jan-02. We don't see the approvals for Dec-01 in rupent, becuase many Dec-01 people have not registered there. There can't be only 78 cases for Dec-01. My lawyer also commented that VSC people are most competent, NSC has more newly recruted IIOs, they take more time to process the cases with them and they send more RFEs. He has cases as old as 20 months with NSC.

I think some body ran script and post it there and who post it may not be his own receipt number. B'coz no body type the whole
receipt number in RUPNET.
So he ran the script and post it on RUPNET. Could you please speak up sean, ramji, Murali and MAHI............ I want to know when you people did your FP.

I agree with atr. we see 60% of total applicants
approved for both jan and feb 2002. this does't represent rupnet at all. what are those cases then? this is a mystery. Unless we pose this questions to well know lawyers like murthy and khanna to analyze this, we will not get any answer.

ran the script and came across these approvals.Posted data
appears that he/she entered random data for the remaining fields
At least I have seen something where i can verify that Jan'02
cases were approved.

Hi Guys,
I checked all the 5 Jan-02 Approval cases. It seems to be correct except one case. On line system could not locate 1 of the number. Here is the BCIS web site reply as it is. What ever my lawyer told me seems to be OK.

those number don't mean that much but merely a hoax on rupnet.
if you try lin02102, lin02104 and continue, you will see a considerable number cases (closer to 60%) already approved.
may be we should ask our lawyers why they have that many approvals and what type of 485 comprise the most of 485 applicants?

The rupnet postings are unlikely to have been updated by the individuals concerned. LIN numbers usually are based on notice date and not on receipt date, whereas the postings all have the same receipt date and different notice dates.
Knowing that the information in itself is not false (the approvals have been confirmed by others who inquired the INS website), it could perhaps be attributed to a kind-hearted soul hoping to impart some artificial traction (at-least in the eyes of the participants of this forum) to the good folks at Nebraska. If so, the attempt clearly has not met with much success based on the reactions it has elicited thus far.
In response to Ghee..'s post querying the nature of the 50-60% approval levels of Dec./Jan cases, it is clear from the few rupnet postings that country of origin is a factor in determining the length of time one spends in 485 purgatory!! If you look at the profile of all employment based AOS applicants, a significant section is from the traditional HR supplying countries like India and China etc. The rest are from a variety of other countries and perhaps get processed quicker while the Indians, Chinese, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and the like get to enjoy the privations caused by INS's frequent freezes for a longer period. After all, Indians, Chinese et al are known to posses a contemplative bent of mind and hence may be seen to be better equipped to retain their sanity. There is a reason why it is called Chinese torture!!
By the way, it came as a pleasant surprise to me to know that McDonalds has cooks, and not just $5.50 an hour, non-unionized burger flippers!
