Will The Ins Know If I Renew My Np ?

iam planning to renew my NP,

iam not planning to go back to my country,

the reason i want to renew my NP is i want to send copy of my passport
back to my country for some official business,

i contacted our counselate general, they told me that they need a copy
of my green card for the record,

do you think they will notify the INS if i mail them my copy of green card,
and do you thinh the ins will discover i renew my passport?

i would not give a copy of my green card to the consulate of a country i escaped from. since 9/11 security truly and for real became enhanced. i would not do it just so i don't have any problems down the road to citizenship.

Nope! If they don't see it ! and you don't tell them !

Your reason for NP renewal is valid. Even if USCIS were to find out, you should be ok but make sure you keep the record. Lots of countries require NP to sell property or anything else...If you were to obtain benefit like money or anything from your home country..then it could cause for trouble..but not in this case in my opinion

I think you will be ok. Make sure you have the proof of the sale. I think if something happens it would be probably IRS not USCIS...who may audit you about the money transfer...
