Will the AVM get updated once the Finger priniting is sent??

I called up the California service center to check wheather they have sent for my finger printing and they said that they have sent
for the same and I would like to know how much time does it take to send for the finger printing and does the AVM get updated. Can the gurur\'s please throw some light on this question.
