Will taking EAD invalidate H-1B status if I keep working for the same employer on H1?

If I take EAD and keep working for the sponsoring ccompany will I have any problem in extending H-1 status in future if reuired?I have seen may postings regarding NOT using EAD.

How can one keep EAD and NPT use it? Can the employer start using it without our consent?

I just want to play safe in case some problem happens with current employment.

Employer cannot "start using it" unless you formally present it to him as a proof of employment authorization. Possession of EAD should not affect your H-1 status.
