Will she be granted US citizenship?

My mother got her greencard in 2007. In the past 3 years, due to health and personal reasons she had to visit India for a period of 4 -5 months each year. Now we are worried that this might effect her getting US citizenship..
Has any of the forum members come across a case wherein an individual was out of the country for 4-5 months each year for 5 years and did get the citizenship?
Would greatly appreciate if anyone could reply and let us know if this is possible...
Thanks in advance.

Traveling every for 4-5 months can be an issue if it's back to back. For example, if she left in September 2007, came back for a few days in December 2007 then left again until April 2008. If her travel is separated by several weeks, the is shouldn't be an issue.

Just wanted to add to bobsmyth's answer, on the date of application for N-400 she must meet the minimum physical presence requirements, as long as those are met she is good to go.
