Will Promotion affect GC adjudication?

Have you personally known anybody who has lost his/her GC because of a promotion during pending of AoS?

I do not know any personal cases, but i am almost sure about the law : You can get promoted to next level and your job description can change provided you continue in the sponsoring company and you do not change the fields.
So if you have used AC21, then promotion will result in denial of I485. Otherwise, it should be OK as long as you continue in the same field (Software, Legal, Medical etc)

I guess promotion should not affect AOS as long as you are in the same field.

I'm guessing no response would mean that no one knows of a case being denied because of a promotion. In my case I have asked my employer to keep my official title the same as on the Labor Cert...

Promotion to a Supervisor

Hi All,

My 140/485 is pending . My 140 and 485 was filed as Software Engineer. Now I am getting a chance to be promoted to a Supervisor.

Will it affect my GC process?

Any help would be great.

I concur with others above, that as long as you are with same employer and job duties are similar (with added responsibilities), then promotion will not be penalized. I was promoted to associate professor from assistant prof during the wait, but was approved w/o RFE.

Guys ,

Once promoted when GC is still in the labor stage, what title is used
1) to fill out the I140 / 485 forms
2) Advertisments etc

... the new title or Old title ???
