Hello,

I'll just go straight into the details. I was accepted to UCLA last May, and will be attending UCLA this coming Fall.

I came in as B2 in 2004 and applied for F1 here, but was denied visa. I stayed since high school to community college and now UCLA.

I knew my husband since Dec 2006, and we have lived together since July 2008. On Aug/8/2008, we got married. I'm applying for GC right now, but wondering if going to school in LA will be a problem. I tried to get in Berkeley so it'd be close to where my boyfriend (at the time) and I lived, but I couldn't.

My husband is not willing to move there right now, but he will possibly move to LA next school year. That means after green card interview, and I'm afraid that this might be a problem. What do you guys think?

Could you clarify what you mean by "no financial ties"?
My husband will be paying for my tuition and housing. He's currently supporting me right now since I'm not able to work. We also have joint account together, and he pays for everything from utilities bills to my personal expenses.

You should be okay then. How long will this arrangement last for?

Are the you two together on the utility bills?

In this case...even is a normal case and many people over here had post several similar cases be sure -yes, even it sounds retarded- that ALL is in both names regardless that you are leaving due to school. If you two are calling each other, keep the record of the callings if that means PRINT your call record every month, your ticket slips, every single thing...keep a record of it. And even he is paying for everything...the utility bills where you live or he lives...could be in two names...does not matter.

Good luck, I know sound extra or annoying but unfortunately you don't know who is going to be your interviewer at your I-485.
