Hello all,
I 've read in this forum that j1 visa conversion into H1 is affected by any whatever petty amt of assistance by the govt. agencies namely nih or cdc inthe form of travel grant..and this dampens the chaces of any waiver of hrr...
now i'll be applying for residencies this year ... i'm not sure but the visa may be j1 cinical.....(starting july 2008)..in the mean time before the visa if i get some nih funded travel grant (by oct 2007 or so)... for some research presentation...here being based at india..then will it be counting towards problem for a later waiver and conversion into h1???
may be its a trivial query but i dont want to knowinly get into trouble at some later stage..
please suggest what are the possibilities and if i shud be rejecting any such... grant if approved??? and even in that case once approved..whether used or not...will such allocation be a problem to me at all?
