Will my social security points restart from zero if I return?

My spouse is a US Citizen but I'm not. We will be returning to India for good and I will be surrendering my GC (or may not renew it all - so it becomes invalid). In case we come back to US after a few years, will I be able to get back my social security points that I had at the time of leaving this country (USA)? Or will the points start from zero again?

Your contributions to SS are never reset.

Surrendering it will have a positive impact on future Non-Immigrant visa applications or if you ever want to get the GC again.
