Hi,

I am married to an american citizen for six months now. I am expecting my green card in nine months. I want to sponsor my mom for visitor visa.
She is widow and I am the only son. She lives with her eldest daughter and her hubby.

1)

Is my mom more likely to get approved if I have green card compared? I am currently on H1B visa and am debating if I should sponsor her on while I am on H1B or should I wait until I get my green card.

2)
Or should I ask my wife to sponsor my mom. Is that possible. Will that help?

thanks.

Hi

I think if you are on H1 then its good sign, Once you get GC, then your parents may have trouble showing strong family ties, Section 214B presumption of immigration.
